- 9 Hour Halibut / Rockfish Trip - $300 per person
- Since opening in 2021, our 9 Hour Halibut / Rockfish trip has been the most popular Open Party Trip option. Giving anglers a shot at targeting California Halibut as well as scoring plenty of rockfish and lingcod, this trip makes for a productive and action-packed day on the water.
- 12 Hour Halibut / Rockfish Trip - $400 per person
- For anglers seeking a longer day on the water at more remote fishing grounds, the 12 Hour Halibut / Rockfish Open Party Trip is your best bet to catch a true trophy. Targeting huge rockfish, lingcod, and halibut this trip will take you to the beautiful coastline of San Simeon or even into Big Sur if conditions allow.
Private Charters
- 6 Hour (½ Day) Local Rockfish / Lingcod Trip for up to 5 people - $1,200
- This option is the same as our standard Rockfish / Lingcod trip except you'll be fishing no further than 12 miles from Morro Bay—great fishing grounds for a variety of cod species like Reds, Coppers, Bolina, Gophers, Treefish, and of course the notorious Lingcod. Guaranteed catch, even on slow days, and come home with all the necessities for a fish fry! We'll even provide some of our favorite recipes to try.
- 8 Hour Rockfish / Lingcod Trip for up to 5 people - $1,500
- Our standard 8 Hour Rockfish / Lingcod trip makes for an action-packed day on the water with a guaranteed catch, even on slow days! Target a variety of cod species like Reds, Coppers, Bolina, Gophers, Treefish, and of course the notorious Lingcod. Bring home all the necessities for a fish fry…we'll even provide some of our favorite recipes for you to try.
- 9 Hour Rockfish / Halibut Trip for up to 5 people - $1,800
- Our 9 Hour Rockfish / Halibut Trip targets rockfish and lingcod for most of the day but also gives you a chance to pull up some California Halibut depending on their peak feeding times. This private charter has been one of our more popular options since opening in 2021, making for a productive and action-packed day on the water.
- 12 Hour Jurassic Park Trip for up to 5 people - $2,600
- The untouched waters of Big Sur are known as one of the best rockfish and lingcod fisheries in California. This trip can be upwards of 12 hours so make sure you're ready for a long day of fishing! Meals included if you'd like - just coordinate food preferences in advance. If conditions don’t cooperate to make the run up the coast but still fish locally, we’ll offer to adjust the price to our standard $1k private charter rate and target rockfish and lingcod in closer proximity.
- 12 Hour Lopez Point / Offshore Trip for up to 5 people - $3,600
- This trip is designed for anglers who want to experience the pinnacle of sport fishing that the Central Coast has to offer. Lopez Point is a remote big fish haven that sits directly in the middle of Big Sur and provides habitat for world-class rockfish, lingcod, halibut, and a plethora of other gamefish seasonally. The canyon that runs against the coastline attracts pelagic gamefish like white sea bass and tuna as well. In this trip package, we will make the 60 mile run up the coast to fish groundfish in the morning and then shoot offshore to see if we can find some tuna in the afternoon. We can always audible to target tuna species like albacore and bluefin offshore throughout the entire day as well at the customer’s request. Lastly, meals included if you'd like - just coordinate food preferences in advance.

CCFC is excited to offer private Whale Watching Tours year-round to give customers an up-close-and-personal experience with the largest and most docile animals on Earth. From late March through November, Humpback Whales return to the rich, anchovy-filled waters of Morro Bay, putting on an unforgettable show of breaching, tail-slapping, and feeding displays. Peak sightings occur from mid-July through October, when whales gather in their greatest numbers.
During the winter months (January–March), witness the majestic Gray Whales on their north–south migration along the Central Coast. No matter the season, guests are treated to a variety of marine life — playful dolphins, sea lions, harbor porpoises, and curious sea otters — set against the stunning backdrop of the Morro Rock. With small groups, personalized narration, and a deep respect for the ocean, CCFC Captains offer an unmatched, year-round marine adventure that’s equal parts educational, exhilarating, and unforgettable. - 4 Hour Shark & Rays on the Bay with BBQ for up to 6 people - $900
- THE ONLY Shark & Ray Fishing Charter in Morro Bay, CCFC is proud to offer this enjoyable experience for those who want to reel in some fun. We provide the BBQ and shark fishing gear, you provide your beverage of choice and the good vibes. On this 4 hour excursion we’ll drop the anchor within the beautiful Morro Bay estuary and toss out bait for leopard sharks, shovelnose guitarfish, batrays, skates, and more. Meanwhile you’ll enjoy some cold drinks and a BBQ meal of your choice! This trip is CATCH & RELEASE ONLY to preserve this unique brackish water fishery and purely for sport and the fun of being on the water.
- 8-9 Hour Winter Halibut Trip (Jan 1st - Mar 31st) for up to 4 people - $1,200
- We are excited to continue offering our unique 8-9 hour Winter Halibut trip during a time of year when most other fishing seasons are closed. In the past this time of year has been very productive for putting massive California Halibut in the boat when the ocean conditions cooperate.
- 9-12 Hour Halibut / Seabass Trip for up to 4 people - $1,600
- Throughout the year we’ll see a handful of squid spawns which attract larger California Halibut and White Sea Bass. While we’ve caught both species year-round, the peak times to target seabass are typically June through November, with an emphasis on July - September. Targeting seabass on the Central Coast is extremely dependent on conditions and time of day—if you’re looking to catch a ghost we recommend getting a date on the calendar and waiting until the week-of for us to reach out with a game plan (and confirm the estimated duration of the trip). Like all of our trips, we strive to give customers the best possible chance at achieving their goal, and if we don’t think we have an honest shot at catching white seabass we will audible to another trip package and adjust price accordingly.
